Hello December Goodness!
Annette Haring
It's that merry time of year again!
That time when we prepare for the merry making that is the month of December.
For the past six years I have been following along with Ali Edwards and creating a December album. It's called December Daily® and the idea is to capture one story per day.
To make it a bit easier to pull product together for this project, Ali has created kits that have many of the papers, embellishments and album all in one place. The past two years she has invited various designers to create mini kits as well.
Here is a video showing some of my favorite pieces from the kits as I had it opened everything up after receiving it.
So much goodness here! Enjoy!
A few notes about the video:
I love all of the kits available for different reasons. I'm very thankful for being able to get the kits this year and in years past.
I typically use various parts of the kits as well as stuff that I've collected over the years. Either from past kits or Scrapbook.com or the dollar bin and holiday aisles at Target or IKEA.
This year, I'm going with a more neutral themed album for my main December Stories album an then a bright and cheerful theme for my daughter's album. Mine will be a 6x8 album and hers is a 4x6 one.
I did this last year and really love this. My style has grown simpler over the years and I find that I'm craving a simpler palette and design for my own albums.
By having the two albums I can still use up some of the fun and more colorful pieces in her album. She helps me with it too, so it's a fun project for us to work on together. (you can see those products on Ali's site.)
Anyways, I hope this inspires you to get planning and creating!
